01 — Overview
A website that makes you hungry.
Fratelli's Italian Restaurant is a family-owned restaurant in North Hills, in the San Fernando Valley, serving pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, salads, calzones and more — made from scratch, with plenty of big screens for game day.
The website puts the things hungry customers look for first: what's on the menu, what it costs, when the restaurant is open and how to get there — wrapped in the warm, family feel of the restaurant itself.

02 — Challenge
A big menu, served one bite at a time.
Restaurant visitors usually have one question — “What do they have, and are they open?” With ten menu categories and dozens of dishes, sizes and prices, the site needed to show everything without burying the basics.
The website needed to:
- Show the address, phone number and opening hours right away.
- Present a large menu with clear prices, including multiple sizes.
- Let the food photography do the selling.
- Reflect the friendly, family-owned character of the restaurant.
03 — Approach
Four decisions that shaped the site.
- 01
A friendly first impression
A smiling-chef logo, “Welcome To Fratelli's” in script lettering and the address and phone number sit right in the hero, with “Our Menu” and “Contact Us” buttons one click away.
- 02
The whole menu, organized
Ten script-lettered categories — from Starters to Lunch Specials — lead to menus with every dish, description and price, plus a Catering Menu for larger orders.
- 03
Let the food sell itself
Each menu section pairs its price list with large, labeled photos of real dishes, like the Salmon Piccata, Chicken Parmesan and Spicy Cajun Chicken Pasta.
- 04
Menus that fit a phone
On phones, each category opens as its own pop-up menu with photos and prices by size, so customers can browse quickly without endless scrolling.
04 — Design
Warm, casual and full of flavor.
A dark, moody dining-room backdrop, a warm cream for menus and a bright pizza-oven orange for buttons and prices give the site the cozy, welcoming feel of a neighborhood Italian restaurant.
Typography
Script accents for an Italian-trattoria touch, paired with clean, modern headings and easy-to-read menu text.
